What we record

When you open a link on this site we record: a random click identifier, the country your request came from, the referring website, a broad device category (for example “mobile”), the browser family (for example “iOS”), and the time. If you press a button that takes you to a partner, we record that you did so.

What we do not record

We do not store your IP address and we do not store your full browser user-agent string. We do not set cookies, and we do not use analytics scripts, advertising pixels or third-party trackers on this page.

Why

To understand which of our posts lead people to services they go on to use, and to reconcile that against what our partners report. The random click identifier is what links those two records; it is not tied to your name, email or account.

Partners

When you choose to continue, you leave this site for a third-party dating service. What happens after that is governed by that service's own privacy policy, not this one. We do not send them any personal information about you — only the random click identifier.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU you may request a copy or deletion of what we hold. Because we hold no information that identifies you personally, we will usually need the click identifier from the link you used in order to find anything at all.
